What is Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional therapy is a holistic approach to health and can support or be an alternative to conventional medicine. A nutritional therapist offers natural, healthy solutions to your specific health needs by offering services such as one-on-one consultations, individualized food and supplement protocols, education through group lessons and information sessions.
Perhaps you just need a bit of help? Schedule a grocery tour and/or pantry clean out session to get your nutrition on track.
What can a nutritional therapist do?
A Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, or NTP, guides clients to improving their health using holistic means such as nutrition and supplements rather than medications. NTPs are certified to assess the individual needs of their clients and provide nutrition education and guidance to help them achieve their health goals.
Why choose a nutritional therapist vs. conventional medicine?
Nutritional therapists are trained to focus on your individual needs and often have much more time to address your health goals. They can work with your doctor to ensure you get to the root cause of your symptoms by focusing on the foundations of health: Proper diet, digestion, blood sugar balance, hydration, fatty acids and mineral needs; all of which are essential in balancing your body. Nutritional therapists are certified to give nutritional advice, whereas many doctors lack training in this area.
How does nutritional therapy work?
We’ll work together using a variety of methods to determine which foundations you need to address first. Assessments include discussing your health concerns, taking a brief medical history, analyzing your current diet, and in some cases, a kinesthetic evaluation. The combination of results from these tests help us discover and address nutritional deficiencies. We'll develop a nutritional protocol and give you actionable steps to your health goals.
Is a nutritional therapist right for me?
Of course! Everyone can benefit from nutrition education. Even if you have a “clean” diet, if you’re having health issues or have specific health goals, there are nutritional strategies that will help.
